Turkey Saddle
Charlottesville, 2002
This residence is situated just below the crest of a hill on a saddle where two rivers almost converge. The original house from the 1970's had very weak connection to its beautiful surroundings. A substantial renovation to the existing building was combined with 2,200 new square feet to complete the new master plan. The design goal was to modify the house to meet the owner's unusual program and finally connect the interior spaces to the near and far landscape. Custom furniture by Formwork Design was provided throughout the project.
